Air plants

Słyszeliście kiedyś o oplątwach? Nie? Zajrzyjcie tutaj. To niesamowite roślinki, które wszystko co niezbędne im do życia czerpią z powietrza - stąd ich angielska nazwa "air plants". Usłyszałam o nich dzięki filmikowi Laury (również tworzy kartki) i pomysł spodobał mi się na tyle, że i sobie postanowiłam kupić parę egzemplarzy a także stworzyć z nich prezent imieninowy dla mamy. Oczywiście do kompletu musiała powstać pasująca kartka. Wszystkie elementy do stworzenia tej kartki wycięłam przy użyciu Silhouette Portrait z wycinarnia.pl i zabarwiłam je tuszami Distress.

Have you heard already about air plants? I was introduced to them by Laura and was almost instantly hooked by the idea. I've bought myself couple of those plants and used them to make a gift for mum. To go with it I've made a plant themed card using entirely pieces cut by Silhouette Portrait from wycinarnia.pl that I've colored with Distress Inks.

Baby mobile

Hello,

for sure I should be posting here more often. I seem to be loosing days and weeks lately. There's always too little time and too many things to do.
Do you have times like that too?

Anyway, today I wanted to show you a card I was requested to make for a baby girl's 1st birthday.

Jak zwykle mam spore zaległości w publikowaniu czegokolwiek. Nie wiem gdzie mi uciekają dni i tygodnie. Czy wy też tak macie?
Dzisiaj mam wam do pokazania całą różową karteczkę na pierwsze urodziny małej dziewczynki.

I decided to go  with a baby mobile theme and color pink.

I wanted to make the mobile really move so I've made my card into an easel card and fixed yellow foam stars and moon with a silver string so that they'll move when the card is open.

For the bacground  I've used my recently favourite technique - watercoloring with the Distress Inks. I'm seriously addicted to Distress Inks now :)
Here I've used Spun Sugar and Picked Raspberry. I've added some drops of water and drops of silver glittery mist for extra texture.

I didn't have much space for a greeting with my design so  I've used a tiny polish greeting from Agateria. Another stamp from that company is used as a texture for all "wooden" elements.

Tło kartki stworzyłam wykorzystując technikę, od której chyba ostatnio się uzależniłam - używanie wspaniałych tuszy Tima Holtza jako akwareli. Tutaj użyłam dwóch kolorów: Spun Sugar i Picked Raspberry.
Użyłam też dwóch stempelków od Agaterii - napisu i faktury drewna.

Also I've created a matching envelope using We R Memory Keepers Envelope Punch Board.

Do karteczki powstała też pasująca koperta.

Watercolor

Hi all,

the idea for this card started from a video by a very talented girl from Wplus9. Her watercoloring is always so amazing. I truly encourage you to check the whole channel.
Anyway the video that inspired me is below:

Dzisiejszy post zaczynamy od filmiku, ktory zainspirował samą kartkę:

But my inspiration wasn't so obvious. It's wasn't the main image that caught my attention.

Oczywiście, jestem dziwna i to nie główny obraz akwarelowego ptaszka zwrócił moją uwagę. Spójrzcie na zrzut ekranu:

Can you see the little palette on the right? That's what have caught my eye and inspired to make a card (Yep, I'm weird I guess :))

Widzicie umazaną farbkami paletkę po prawej? Oto moja inspiracja, a poniżej jej wynik.

Don't you just love layers and layers of watercolor, colors blending together, spatters? 

For my watercolor medium I've used the assortment of Distress Inks. I've also added some sequins in various sizes and colors.

Za akwarele posłużyły mi moje ulubione tusze Distress. Dodatkowo, jak to ostatnio mam w zwyczaju, do dekoracji użyłam cekinów w kilku rozmiarach,

Tiddly Inks DT Call

Today I have just a quick post with a card I've made for a Design Team call at Tiddly Inks.

I've used a movie couple/scene for inspiration for this card. Anyone wants to guess which one? The answer at the end of this post :)

Anyway... for this card I've used this cute digital stamp. I've fallen in love with it first time I saw it.

I've colored it with a combination of Promarkers and Marvy Uchida Le Plume Markers. Now, I'm not a professional alcohol markers specialist but I quite like the result I've achieved this time. Do you?

To make it pop I've keep the rest of the card white but I didn't want it to be "just" white. I've die cut a heart from a white panel and put a "Piestra Tile" diecut (from Memory Box) behind it. Also added some debossed elements in two corners.

The white background also went well with my inspiration :)

Speaking of which...

This was my inspiration. Have I ever mentioned I'm a LoTR freak? :D
