Baby mobile

Hello,

for sure I should be posting here more often. I seem to be loosing days and weeks lately. There's always too little time and too many things to do.
Do you have times like that too?

Anyway, today I wanted to show you a card I was requested to make for a baby girl's 1st birthday.

Dzisiaj mam wam do pokazania całą różową karteczkę na pierwsze urodziny małej dziewczynki.

I decided to go  with a baby mobile theme and color pink.

I wanted to make the mobile really move so I've made my card into an easel card and fixed yellow foam stars and moon with a silver string so that they'll move when the card is open.

For the bacground  I've used my recently favourite technique - watercoloring with the Distress Inks. I'm seriously addicted to Distress Inks now :)
Here I've used Spun Sugar and Picked Raspberry. I've added some drops of water and drops of silver glittery mist for extra texture.

I didn't have much space for a greeting with my design so  I've used a tiny polish greeting from Agateria. Another stamp from that company is used as a texture for all "wooden" elements.

Tło kartki stworzyłam wykorzystując technikę, od której chyba ostatnio się uzależniłam - używanie wspaniałych tuszy Tima Holtza jako akwareli. Tutaj użyłam dwóch kolorów: Spun Sugar i Picked Raspberry.
Użyłam też dwóch stempelków od Agaterii - napisu i faktury drewna.

Also I've created a matching envelope using We R Memory Keepers Envelope Punch Board.

Spots and Dots

This is the card I've made for a Wednesday challenge at Simon Says Stamp blog.

This time the challenge was Spot and Dots. The moment I've read about this challenge I though about the ScrapBerry's stamp that I've recently purchased from FifiRifi (amazing store, with amazing customer service). 

I guess originally the stamp set is designed so that on girls hand sits a little bird, but from the beginning I was seeing there something like a sparkly, magical powder.... I suppose I've made a fairy form her. Fairy with a guitar...well...it could happen, right? :)

To make my "fairy dust" I've used glitter marker diluted with water and then flicked with a paintbrush. The circles I've die cut with MemoryBox dies: Tiny Bubbles and Contempo Circle Border. (This is how you can use the negative pieces and not only the main parts that die cuts.)

Anyway, here's the card.

The image is colored with Promarkers.

Anything goes and something new

This is my card for another challenge at Simon Say Stamp.

As I'm still on sort of watercolor kick so I've created this card using this particular technique and Distress Inks (Barn Door, Peacock Feathers and Dusty Concord).

I've decided also to try something new on this card. I've tried printing on vellum and heat embossing it.
Kind of surprised that it worked but it did. All you need to do is act quickly and add embossing powder as soon as the vellum comes out of the printer. I think this is not the last time I'll be using this idea :)

Anyway to attach the vellum to the card I've used machine stitching and because this creates a nice pocket I've added few sequins to the inside. Adding few for the outside too creates fun illusion when you shake the card - as if they were moving too :) Try it.

For the inside I've used very pale splotches of inks and machine stitching as well.

Father's Day

This is the card I've made for my Dad for Father's Day, which in Poland is on June 23rd.

Also I'm putting it for a challenge at Simon Says Stamp blog, which for this week was STENCIL IT:)

I've used the brick stencil with structure paste first and then added watercolor layer with Distress inks. Because my structure paste was porous it wasn't resisting the inks but grabbing them as the normal paper would. Or actually even more as the layer was risen. 

Any way, it gave quite cool effect. It went perfect with my idea of putting die cut tools and the word Dad (pl. tata) as in a kind of workshop.

I didn't have black brads so I've used some black embossing powder on the copper ones - came out exactly how I wanted them :)

May mail call at KWerner

This time I wanted to show you a card I've made for Kristina Werner's birthday and May mail call at her blog.
She's one of the most talented crafters I know. If you don't know her yet (how is that even possible? :)) please go and check her blog.
I do hope my card reached her on time and in good condition.
Anyway, here it is:

The background is made using the technique that I know thanks to Kristina - watercoloring with Distress Inks. I've also went over it with water mixed with mica powder through the cloud stencil.

This cute little stamp is from Tiddly Inks (Flying High Anna Belle). I colored it with watercolor markers to match the background.

Mother's Day and felt flowers

I've made this card for my Mom for Mother's Day (which in Poland is on May 26th).
The idea was to make the whole white, using the colors only for flowers, allowing them to pop.

To make the all-white card interesting I've needed to use a lot of texture and dimension. For the background I've used translucent structure paste over stencil. And for the rest of the card I've used lots of die cut layers both from cardstock and vellum.

Now this flowers are my newest addiction. They're so fun to make and look so cute. I saw them a while ago on Jennifer McGuire blog (and, of course, I can't find the post right now :-/) and loved the idea so much that I needed to try them myself. Now I have full box of them ready to be changed into hair accessories or card embellishments.

Also, I like to enter this card for the challenge at Simon Says Stamp blog. Challenge was to use dies. My card uses Nellie's Choice circle dies and Joy Crafts flower dies.
The sentiment is a combination from two stamps from Agateria.

Iris folding and a challenge

Once again I needed to make a card very very quickly.
I though that iris folded shape would be an easy and relatively quick to make, main element of my card.
I've chose the colors from a patterned paper from Echo Park Paper Happy Days 6x6 paper pad.
And to make it more interesting just added some matching flowers that I luckily had in my stash.

Last but not least I added some sparkle to different elements of my card with Wink Of Stella clear glitter pen and some Glossy Accents.

The sentiment stamp I've used comes from the store I truly love, Agateria.

Kid's card

It's the last of the cards from my little male-boy cards series.
This one is ment for a six year old boy.
Wanted to keep it simple, funny and interesting for a little boy. That's when I thought of making a little shaker-balloon.

Both robot pictures are digital stamps from Shery K Design.  

The first one just begged for googly-eyes.

Male card

This is another card using cute car stamp from Agateria.
Because it's a card for my father this time I've just colored the image with Promarkers and went with more 'grown-up' look.

The papers I've used came from two different packs - Papermania Bexley Black and some Me Too You set.

This is another card I'm entering into Simon Says Stamp birthday challenge.

Boy's card

This cute card I've made for My Sweet Boyfriend. It was a part of his birthday gift.
It's more boyish than masculine, but after all every guy is still a little boy inside.

The car image is a stamp from Agateria. I've stamped it several time on pieces of blue-colored cardstock, cut it out and mounted it using 3D glue dots to give the image a bit dimension. Also covered it with Glossy Accents to give it a shiny car look.
Pennants and sentiment also come from Agateria.
And the papers come from My Mind's Eye Away We Go paper pack.

Easter

I wasn't exactly in making-holiday-cards mood this year but I have to made at least two ;-)
Actually it's just one design but the main image was done in two different techniques.

The one on the left is colored with Promarkes and the one on the right is done with watercolor pencils.

Now, the main image id not just a one stamp. I decided to try and make a scene using different stamp images and a masking technique. My first try with these but it turned out quite nice.

The stamps I've used were:

- "Some Bunny" by We R Memory Keepers

- a set from studio G that I do not know the name (a spring one)

- "Butterfly with flowers" by cArt-Us

- eggs are from Agateria and the sentiment is from Lemonade.

The pattern paper is from ScrapPasja.

Anything goes challenge

This card was made for The Bestest Godfather in the whole wide world! I love you!

Lately I'm so into hexagons and I've bought two stamps from the 3rd Eye - one with full hexagons the other with the outlines. Both of them are sooooo cool to use.

For this card I decided to stamp the outline version both on cardstock and some patterned papers.
I've added a bit of dimension by using foam tape on some hexagon and cardstock, putting some under the cardstock and directly on it.

I must admit - I love how it turned out.

The pattern paper I've used is Away We Go by My Mind's Eye.

SSS challenge - choose a sketch

Hi,
Today I want to show you a card I've made for Simon Says Stamp Challenge.

I've decided to go with a sketch no 1 and here is what I came up with.

The papers for this card came from Up Up & Away First Edition 6x6 paper pack.

The main image and sentimet came from Bazoo Chill Out stamp set.

I've used them also to decorate the inside a bit.

All images were colored with Promarkers.
