Mother's Day and felt flowers

I've made this card for my Mom for Mother's Day (which in Poland is on May 26th).
The idea was to make the whole white, using the colors only for flowers, allowing them to pop.

To make the all-white card interesting I've needed to use a lot of texture and dimension. For the background I've used translucent structure paste over stencil. And for the rest of the card I've used lots of die cut layers both from cardstock and vellum.

Now this flowers are my newest addiction. They're so fun to make and look so cute. I saw them a while ago on Jennifer McGuire blog (and, of course, I can't find the post right now :-/) and loved the idea so much that I needed to try them myself. Now I have full box of them ready to be changed into hair accessories or card embellishments.

Also, I like to enter this card for the challenge at Simon Says Stamp blog. Challenge was to use dies. My card uses Nellie's Choice circle dies and Joy Crafts flower dies.
The sentiment is a combination from two stamps from Agateria.

Iris folding and a challenge

Once again I needed to make a card very very quickly.
I though that iris folded shape would be an easy and relatively quick to make, main element of my card.
I've chose the colors from a patterned paper from Echo Park Paper Happy Days 6x6 paper pad.
And to make it more interesting just added some matching flowers that I luckily had in my stash.

Last but not least I added some sparkle to different elements of my card with Wink Of Stella clear glitter pen and some Glossy Accents.

The sentiment stamp I've used comes from the store I truly love, Agateria.

Music

Hi guys,
this is a card I've made for my boyfriend's birthday.
The idea started with a piece of music sheet. I've paired it with a brad from Artemio and that gave me a color combination for a whole card.

To age the music paper I distressed its edges with Tim Holtz paper distressed.
Also added some machine stiching for some interest.

The sentiment is combined from two stampsets:
The Girls' Paperie "Kitch" and the set from Marianne Design.

Breathing / oddech

Hi,
today's post is going to be mainly in polish as I'm going to write about very special polish family.

Dziś, wyjątkowo po polsku, bo i post wyjątkowy.
O chorym na mukowiscydozę Arturku i jego rodzince dowiedziałam się przypadkiem, szukając czegoś w Internecie. W trakcie moich poszukiwań trafiłam na stronę z odwołaniem do bloga Gabrysi, mamy Arturka. Już po przeczytaniu jednego posta wiedziałam, że chce coś dla Arturka zrobić. A posty dość szybko przeczytałam wszystkie, z każdym utwierdzając się w postanowieniu działania.
Oczywiście choroby zabrać nie mogę, choć bardzo bym chciała. Ale pomóc już jak najbardziej mogę. Właściwie każdy może.
 By pomóc rodzinie Arturka organizowane są świąteczne jarmarki (na Wielkanoc, Boże Narodzenie), na których sprzedawane jest rękodzieło. A ja przecież robię kartki! Dla mnie to żaden problem (a nawet przyjemność) zrobić parę dodatkowych. I jeszcze może to komuś pomóc.
Oczywiście z moim zimowym projektem się spóźniłam. Ale Gabrysia mi wybaczyła. I na wiosnę byłam już o czasie :)
Taka przesyłka dotarła do Jaworzna i dzięki jarmarkowi choć troszkę wspomoże budżet rodzinki.

I na koniec jeszcze jedno zdjęcie, które dostałam od Gabrysi. Na zdjęciu Patrycja - dzielna starsza siostra Arturka, a w jej rączkach ozdobiony przeze mnie notesik. Nie pamiętam kiedy czułam się tak wzruszona jak w dniu, gdy dostałam to zdjęcie.

Moim małym postanowieniem jest aby za każdym razem, gdy coś wysyłam dla Arturka, jakiś drobiazg dostała też Pati - wyobrażam sobie jak bardzo musi być dzielna dla swojego Braciszka.

Jeśli wy też coś tworzycie, proszę, pomóżcie Arturkowi.

Now,
for the cards themselves - I used the digital stamps from C.C.Designs. I've colored them with Koh-i-Noor color-pencils and blended the colors with mineral spirit. For this card set I wanted to keep the layers to minimum so I went with selective embossing. As a final touch I've added some tiny rhinestones.

Saturated Canary, TPE240

Hello,
this two cards I'm going to show you today were both made using one gorgeous stamp from Saturated Canary.
The stamp is called Up, Up, Away. It took me some time and trials to learn how to color it, though it was a very fun process.

For this one I've used the girl itself and added three balloons from a different stamp set (sorry, don't know the name, bought it at some local store). Also I've used the calendar and sentiment stamps from a great polish company Agateria.

The image is colored with Promarkers, and the clouds in the background is made using Tumbled Glass Distress Ink.

This next one uses the image in it's original version. I've colored it with Promarkers and then added some ribbons and a little file tab die cut (from Marianne Design).

This card I would like to enter for a challenge at The Pink Elephant.

Some Odd Girl

Hi,
today I have a quick post featuring a card I've made using a freebie from Some Odd Girl.

I've printed the digi stamp both on a cardstock and patterned paper. I've paper pieced her blouse and shoes and colored rest with Promarkers.

The patterned papers are from Eline's Buitenhuis Doll House paper bloc.

Pink balloon

The card I have for you today I needed to make really fast. And it rally was easy and quick to make.

The shaker part of this card I've used some heart dies in various sizes. I've cut it from pink cardstock, pink fun foam and acetate. The cardstock I've shaded a bit using pink ink.
For the inside I've used every possible pink sequin I had in my stash. :)

I've done myself a little cloud template and made a subtle cloud background using Tumbled Glass Distress ink.

The sentiment stamp comes from Agateria.

For the inside I've simply used leftovers from the front.
And that's it.

Back to 2013

It's has been quite a while since I last been here. So sorry, I was so busy in the last weeks of December I could hardly find time to even open my computer.
I can't believe how many projects I had to finish before Christmas. I did not even managed to photograph them all.

To make the things faster I'm going to put all the projects I've made and photographed in this one post and that would close the previous year for me. Let's hope I'll be more systematic with my post in 2014 :)

First I have two projects done to help some people.

This set of cards was made for little Artur Szuster, a little sick boy. And the notepad is for his big sister, Patrycja. Artur has a mucoviscidosis and you can read more about him here.

For the main card I've used a digital stamp from Tiddly Inks.

On the notepad I've used Simple Stories Fabulous 6x6 paper pad and my favourite stamp from Agateria.

This card and a little gift set was made for an annual action organized by Bebeluszek. It uses the same digi stamp as the one above.

The above ornament was the first I've ever done. Not everything went as planned by both the recipient and I like how it came out.

It uses another digi stamp (quite addicted to them lately). This time it comes from C.C.Designs. 

The mittens card is probably one of my favorites. Made it using some felt and Boofle adhesive fabric paper. 

This one is probably the quickest card I've made for Christmas. Two diecuts and an embossed cardstock. The holy stamp is from Imaginisce and the sentiment is from Papermania Baubles stamp set.

 

The last Christmas card I have for you today uses a set of snowflakes dies from Joy, snow stamp from Marianne Design and two cutest gingerbread people from Martha Stewart Cottage Christmas rubber cling stamp set.

Now it's time for two not Christmas related cards.

This, as you've probably guessed, was made for a new born twins - boy and girl. Diapers are made from white felt using template I've drawn myself.

And the last was a request for a little girl that recently loves pink princesses :) For the image I've used Precious Moments coloring page for kids, printed and colored it several times to give the image a bit of dimension. And, of course, I've added a lot of sparkle - princesses need to spark, right?

And with these I'm finishing my 2013 blogging.

When the right stamp is just not there...

I'm often requested to create a card not only for a certain person but also with a certain motive. But what to do when your collection lacks a stamp appropriate for what you want to create?

Well, of course the best source for almost anything is the Internet. There are so many digital stamps you can find online. And a great number of them is free. All you need to do is search. And if digital stamps are not enough you can always try to find a free coloring book. It is such a beautiful source of simple b&w images you could use as a sort of digi stamp.

The cards I want to show you today were all made using such images.
Take a look.

This card was for 14th birthday of a girl whose everyday life is based on every possible kind of sport. The card needed to be sport related too, but of course I don't own any appropriate stamps so I've found the roller girl image online - free coloring page.

The pattern papers used here as well as the brads are from one of the Back To Basic collection. 

The sentiment stamps comes form polish store Agateria.

This one was for a 5th birthday of a boy whose love are numbers. Of course all stamps in my collection are basically meant for girls. I've found a coloring page of a boy with a skateboard and changed that part with a number five.

For the background I've used stamp from another polish store Lemonade.

The above card is one of my favourites. I just love how bright and colorful the rainbow turned out. I've used probably every button and sequin I have in my stash :-) 

The images from this three cards above were all colored using Letraset Promarkers.

Don't you think this one is cute? Made especially for my "work-brother". We both love The Despicable Me movies so the obvious choice was to use minions for his card. You know were they come from? I've found a free activity page on McDonald's website. Printed it several times and colored with colored pencils and mineral spirit. Googly eyes were a must :-D 

The last card I have for today is probably my all time favorite. The train image is once again a coloring page I've found online. But both cake and presents are actual clear stamps. Present stamp is from G-studio and the cake is an amazing stamp from Agateria (love it!!!) Also the wood texture stamps is from Agateria. All the images and and the background were colored using Distress inks.

A little bit more love

Well, guess I should be posting here a bit more frequently...

But... don't you sometimes have a feeling that there's just too little days in a week? Time seems to be flying so fast lately. I mean...didn't we had summer like a few days ago?

But, getting back to cards.

I want to share with you another three wedding cards I've made.

First of them was made specially for a couple which share a passion for motorcycles.

The image you see is a Precious Moments coloring page. And when you pull the card you can see the couples photo: 

The next one is more simple.

Bitterly die I've got in my BigShot starter kit. And the embossing folder was a free gift with Docrafts Creativity Magazine.

To add a bit more interest I've added white sequin's under the die cuts.

Now, for the last one I've used two stamps from the great polish store Agateria. I absolutely love this little car image. It can be so versatile. You can use it in so many ways.
